Bernie Sanders is getting grilled over a satirical essay he wrote for an alt weekly paper 43 years ago. (Woman: Why didn't you travel from 1972 to the present so you could write using 2015 politically correct language?) It's the latest example of the media's obsession with turning old trivia into scandal. (Man: Obama always was a careerist- as evidenced by this kindergarten essay: "I want to be president.") Like with Hillary Clinton, they won't stop hounding her about Benghazi. (Man: Is it true that, as secy of state, you were ultimately responsible for the inadequate security at the consulate that led to 4 deaths?) While what you'd really like to see dragged out of her past is studiously ignored. (Woman: Says here you voted for a war that killed a million people just for fun.) Ah, priorities.

Isn’t it a requirement, at least for Republicans, that the president be pro-war?

Interesting that the noise machine is already trying to go after Bernie Sanders. Either he has a better chance than the media pundits would like to admit (and he does, since no one says more than a zero chance), or they are really afraid of him. Probably smarter than Louis XVI…

Really? Name a Republican presidential candidate (John Anderson doesn’t count) in your lifetime that hasn’t been pro-war.

It helps show that Hillary really isn’t “leftist” at all. Like Obama, she’s a centrist, and even more corporation-friendly (though some of his appointments have made me wonder). We really don’t have a “left wing” in this country at all. Bernie Sanders is pretty much it, and a lot of his recommendations would have seemed common sense a few decades ago.
