American exceptualism is a figment of American imagination.Unless it has to do with ecceptually nutty about so many things.Anti gay is only big in Arab countries and a few in Africa, like Uganda, where we taught them that it is so wrong that they impose the death penalty.Other “exceptions” are the only 1st world country to not have government unniversal health care. And a growing government of Fascisim. Wouldn’t we have learned that is a bad idea from Hitler? So it’as a phrase I wince when I heard tee-potters bargain about it.
The Gospel according Rebecca:Diversity=Good.Diversity of opinion=Bad.Diversity of opinion in churches=Double plus ungood. As Queen Hillary preached, those who disagree must be made to agree.
Equality is here. You can vote, can’t you? Sorry, but I refuse to trim my beliefs to this year’s conventional wisdom. Or as Wabbit would put it, it’as a phrase I wince when I heard the tolerance brigade bargain about it.BTW is inability to express oneself clearly the next thing we will be told to tolerate and celebrate?
May I point out that Barack Obama opposed homosexual marriage until less than three years ago. That’s based on his public statements; one would not accuse our honest forthright transparent President of lying, would one?If the Pres is telling the truth, why do the rest of us have to fall in line behind someone who just recently changed his mind? And if not, well, a public liar isn’t a moral example to follow, ok?
It is amazing the time and effort people spend trying to prohibit someone else from doing something they don’t like. It is all about “doing unto others”!
As for Jase, is it a default setting with you to claim victory and get the hell off the battlefield? Again, I won’t change my views because Obama did(or claimed to) less than three years ago. (According to David Axelrod, he didn’t. Either Axelrod is lying or Obama is lying.)
Rebecca, that is a good but incorrect speculation; all those countries you mention have significantly reduced their church attendance, their beliefs in God and in general christians values, taking on socialists values. You are just using Jesus and his teachings for your own distorted benefit. You can definetely love someone, but hate what they do. Example; how many of you love your parents, but hate the fact they divorced. You have not stop loving them regardless as to whether the divorce was good for them or not.
“I am sorry, but the idea of one man putting his pe**s into another man’s rec**m fits my definition of perversion.”Then stop thinking about it. I find what straight people do utterly repulsive. You don’t see me whining about it.“Do what you want in private—but please do not ask me to affirm what I believe to be deviant behavior.”First of, hetro, homo, and bisexuality has been observed throughout the animal kingdom. Hetro, homo, and bisexuality is as natural as the color of your skin.Secondly, no one’s asking you or your church to affirm anything. We just expect you to stop discriminating against “those people.”
“No Muslim countries on Rebecca’s list.Is that because they execute gay people?”Do you really want to compare yourself to the likes of ISIS? Really? The only way you can look acceptable is for you to compare yourself against extremists??

Some people like to display their worst sides on these sites. I hope they get it all out here and then behave decently the rest of the time.

All the not unique, Americans seem to have an unusually large number of people in power who cannot manage more than one thought at a time.
