Reminds me of an episode of Judge Judy when the defendant was finally able to get a chance to speak (defend himself) he stuttered out the first two words (he sounded very nervous) and Judge Judy cut him off with, “Forget it. I don’t believe you.” Then ruled in favor of the Plaintiff. That was one of the most awkward episodes I had ever seen….and the last.
