You obviously don’t understand what David Letterman did, so let me ‘splain it to you: 1. he was NOT a stand-up comedian; he was an "observer of human absurdity and commented thereon; 2. he wasn’t bitter; he was dry.
I like Graham Norton too. You can tell his guests are having a lot of fun. But Dave was my Johnny Carson. Like the origional cast of SNL. It was sad to see him go, at least he knew it was time. I am really going to miss John Stewart!
I will never forget David’s show on Sept 11 2001, he was so somber and composed, showing such compassion even though he was as shell shocked as the rest of us. I don’t think anyone else could have handled it and helped us cope as well as he did. God Bless and keep you Dave.

Those of us in S Europe have no idea who “he” is. Just saying…this is the World Wide Web.

It’s OK, Greg. I caught his last show last night and I think he went out with a lot of class. Very creative man.

I liked Dave, but I could have done with a LOT less of those blaring brass blurts from the orchestra.

Whether you do or do not like him; he influenced almost all the younger comedians of today.

Like him or not, he’s a legend. Personally, I found/find him to be fun—and the Top Ten lists have been great. Thanks, Dave—and Greg.
