Things might not have turned out perfectly, but they did the very best they could given the limited information they had. You forget Saddam sponsored terrorism. He paid the families of suicide bombers. The families of the 9/11 hijackers probably received a pretty penny from your buddy Hussein.

I keep pointing this out, and will continue to do so despite the Cons general refusal to acknowledge the fact. The agreement with Iraq to remove all US troops was negotiated and signed by George W. Bush.
