So sad to see the cashier at the store break into a cold sweat when I owe them $2.58 and I give them $2.63 instead. That is, when they don’t just throw the money in the register without counting it and say “thanks!”.
We’re becoming a society where folks can’t read time on an analogue watch anymore, everything digital. How can we expect a cashier to make change without the machine doing it for them? The real problem is the mental laziness of the populace, “why think about it”, applies to almost every issue, from wars, to which brand of peanut butter to buy.
