You can tell a new teacher anything and (hopefully) they’ll believe you. It’s like telling the new babysitter that Mom and Dad let you stay up to 10:00 pm and watch violent movies. Gets old fast.
I hope Mr. Lowe gets less outlandish / clownish with his naivete. There could be some real poignant humor here. Archie Bunker (in the TV show “All In the Family”) started out this way – as a redneck buffoon in the beginning, but then his character got more 3 dimensional and interesting as time went by. Take risks, Mark, & use the Force (intuition) ! Remember if you alienate 400 readers, you’ll probably gain at least 400 others! Keep up the promising work! :-)
