Trustworthy has a flexible definition when applied to a politician.

I guess when you compare her trustworthiness to the rest of the field it is not a negative. The email thing is just like the Benghazi thing, something they can try to investigate and smear her with. It will be investigated until the election and even after if she wins. If it were illegal there would be charges. It is all smoke and mirrors so the opposition doesn’t have to address their position on the issues facing the country.

Most people think all politicians lie and are basically untrustworthy liars. Every year it seems the bar is raised for tolerance to lies. When politicians blithely lie and tens of thousands of people are killed immediately, millions eventually displaced, ordinary run-of-the-mill lies maybe don’t seem so bad. A truthful high-level pol is about as likely as a virginal prostitute.

Meanwhile, Jeb Bush says he would have gone into Iraq, too, and he takes advice on the Mideast from his brother! You want to talk stupid…?

It’s in the definition of the word lying. Any time she doesn’t give the same answer, same exact wording as she did to the question the last 200 times she was asked it, the media makes it out to be a lie. If I were asked about the contents of my EMails, which are probably less than 1% of the volume she is sending, I probably would be caught in a “lie” too. Show me where she has done something I disapprove of, and I will agree to distrust her, or at least I will consider it. Meanwhile, nit-picking her emails doesn’t even get my attention.

Polls typically go about it the wrong way. They should ask people to rank politicians on a scale of negative 100 to positive 100. On that scale, (overall, not “trustworthiness”), I’d rank Hillary at negative 30 – and someone like Ted Cruz at negative 98.

As for “trustworthiness”; what does that even MEAN? You can certainly trust Romney, for example, to strengthen the chokehold that the ultra-rich have on the country, but so what?

I do not know Hillary lied about her e-mail that has yet to be proven. It is only the rightwing that says she lied.I do agree she was stupid to have a private e-mail server with a mix of government e-mails and private e-mails. People do not have a right to her private e-mails and the way the right wing has been attacking her for years, I do know why she deleted her private e-mails.Whether government e-mail was deleted can be proven because all government e-mail has a recipient that is kept. If it is proved that an e-mail on her side was deleted and there is a record of it being received that would be interesting. It would even be more interesting if it was some sort of incremmenating communications but none of this exists yet. Besides if you really were communicating something criminal why would you use your government e-mail or private e-mail? It would be so easy to set up an e-mail account else where under another name.I just do not think there is anything there. I also think the right has no bar what so ever on the guilt of the Clintons. I need the proof and it is not there. In God we trust. Everyone else bring data.

DLee4144: what you point out is that the RNC and friends in the “media” are using an interrogation technique to convince a public that Hillary (who I don’t actually like) is nothing but a liar and cheat. Which is interesting given how many tapes of the Republican favorites (like well Romney, Cruz, or Rubio) show what they really said is rarely what they will espouse later, or knowingly on camera.

The Clintonbots say that the Clintons gave us a period of tranquility. If Bill had to bomb Arabs and Slavs to distract the press, he had every right to do so. If Hillary voted that Bush, jr was absolutely right to bring Democracy to Iraq and Afghanistan, she was defending freedom, and any problems that program had were all Bush, jr’s fault, while full credit for promoting the ideals of Freedom and Democracy goes to Hillary..And just because some Republicans and foreigners say she wasn’t shot at, all decent Clintonbots believe Hillary, not those right-wingnuts and foreigners..And when she got $100,000 from some cattle futures, the courts found her innocent, even if statistics says it’s 99% sure she was guilty. Statistics are inadmissible in the Arkansas courts, so she’s innocent as a new born babe.

The Bush Regime lowered the truth bar so far down that only an amoeba could get under it. Lies are now truth, truths are now lies. Thank you George(Orwell).

Here’s your perspective: Democrats need to find a better candidate than Hillary. I am a liberal, Hillary is not. She only looks good when you compare her to the Republicans. If the Dems run Hillary, I will vote 3rd Party. It’s that simple.

I do not have a problem with Bush going into Afghanistan but he took his eyes off the ball. Afghanistan war is the longest war in US history. I do think the Iraq war was stupid. Hillary was stupid/spineless to vote for it. The leader always gets most of the blame. “I am the decider!”. The Commander in Chief, who’s administration did a full court press on the “evidence”, and the war would cost us nothing- $50 to $60 billion tops. More like 6 trillion to 7 trillion. In the gran scheme of things Hillary’s one vote as a Senator is far outweighed by Bush’s fingers in the Iraq pie.

Hillary definitely lied about being shot at.

“And when she got $100,000 from some cattle futures, the courts found her innocent”. This has a good possibility to be true though the courts never found her innocent. Statue of limitations ran out. It is also highly likely someone else did the trading and resulting “profits” or maybe bribes or money is free speech.

“Billionaires United” have convinced the public that all politicians are “untrustworthy.” Especially any that might expect them to pay taxes.
