This cartoon is about something that only bothers Ramirez and the Conservatives when the DEMS are in power - The National Debt ! When the GOP is in power (as under Regan, Bush, & Bush) they never say a thing and really don’t care.
We are spending a ton of money because we are trying to get out of the mess Cheney/Bush left us. Two wars and a destroyed economy are expensive to fix.
I have spent time in California, Texas and in the Gulf of Mexico, both on the beaches and scuba driving….. the beaches and the water were always clean!
Ten years ago, I spent the weekend in Cropus Christi Texas. I had heard there were oil spills there, however the water was clear with at least 4 or 5 feet of visibility. We spent a day, most of it in the water jet skiing and we had NO problems with oil or any other grim/dirt/filth.
DAVE - The GOP loves you, they never have to have an idea, plan, or program to solve any problems, and they know that you will never ask them to pay up for all of their mistakes, and errors.
They know all they have to do is hold up some “strawman” and you will foam at the mouth and charge.
Excellent perspective….based on facts….Obama/Democrats have in 1 year Quadripled the Bush 8-year deficits, and put the USA total DEBT over the total of federal debt from George Washington to Obama!
BP will no doubt pay the majority of the costs of cleanup and damage payments to those damaged by this
ACCIDENTAL (or sabotage…Faisal isn’t the only “terrorist” intending harm to the USA) oil spill.
