I had pet ducks, and they loved dandelion greens. I use vinegar as a weed killer. It doesn’t hurt anything except the weed – and I would put it on some food, anyway.
Just bend down, slide a long bladed screwdriver along side the root and pull it out.. They also make a tool called a weed popper. Don’t be so lazy. My sister feeds them to her bunny. You can buy extra strength vinegar at garden supply stores and it works wonders. Also you can pour boiling water on them.
Thanks for this strip! Pesticides are a huge problem. The bee population is disappearing. Since they are largely responsible for the pollination of fruit trees we’re going to be in deep trouble.

Finches, among other birds, eat the seeds. Rabbits and woodchucks eat the greens.

PICTO,Last spring (2014), I noticed that deer in the back yard liked to eat the dandelion blossoms, if not the whole dandelion above ground.
