Oh,oh, I’ve seen this one for the 3rd time … the 1st being live. And yes, my finger IS like the pie, because it has ma ring on it.
I remember the Automat. The last one in NYC closed in 1991 and was replaced by a Burger King. It was a step down.
It was indeed the increase in prices that made coins inconvenient and wrecked the Automat, but the downhill slide had actually begun when the price of coffee jumped from a nickel to a dime.
That’s a goody and serves her right.
