“fraudulent and untrustworthy.”— You do realize that you’re describing the govt —don’t you???;-Di.e. govt workers 6 hrs. porn a day, VERY questionable “deals” for “charity work”, complete disregard of rules or laws (they don’t apply to them), benefits that we—-the people HAVETO pay for…but we don’t get them, etc.
I remember when Daley blurted it out. At that time, Chicago papers (except for a few columnists in them such as Mike Royko) toadied to Daley. And I remember a TV special, “What Trees Do They Plant?,” an embarrassing sychophantic program that glorified Daley’s accomplishments in the great city of Chicaguh, as opposed to those of the then-current demonstrators. And yet, as soon as I reached voting age, I voted for him. Just saying, no big point here.
Not ALL of us do!The big cities are run by a “machine” and that outweighs the votes of everyone else in the whole state. You can only do your patriotic duty and vote once. The machine has “extra” votes. Dead people vote, homeless people are bribed with things like cartons of cigarettes, and they vote multiple times from different areas of the city. . Some voting machines start with 5 thousand votes already registered, as opposed to starting at 0.My original comment was in answer to the first responder. He used the comment “fraudulent and untrustworthy.” I was responding to what he said.
