357 actually. The first year counts as 14 because dogs reach puberty within the first year. Then 7 years every calendar year thereafter. Or another way to say it, a dog’s age is 7 times the number of years since they were born PLUS 7. If the strip were really a Born Loser it wouldn’t have lasted to be FIFTY!!

A vet told me it was 7 years for the first 2 years then 5 years for every year after that. I think it is actually based on the size and breed of the dog though. Smaller dogs in general live longer.
