Well, since the $ is pretty much printed without any backing other than the Imperial States’ ability to militarily coerce other countries to use it as the reserve currency (hence absolving the ISA from having to actually earn the money it spends), that wall of greenbacks wouldn’t actually cost it anything.

What’s the difference between that and the Berlin wall?

“What’s the difference between that and the Berlin wall?”#The Russians used Rubles to build the Berlin wall. That’s the difference! So there!#Funny thing, though, all the Rubles had the likeness of a very young Vladimir Putin printed on them. Odd, huh?

The angle of this cartoon makes it look like the guy on the right is the one on the South Side of the border

@ Bruce4671The East German people were told that the Berlin wall was meant to fend off an invasion from the decadent West. What are you being told?

@Bruce4671:Strictly speaking, the Berlin wall was built to keep “a herd of people out” of West Berlin, rather than keep the West Berlin residents in West Berlin. Perhaps you have confused who built it with the reason it was built. Also, re. “….borders are supposed to be open for one and all”; I don’t believe that anyone is pushing a policy which would eliminate all immigration requirements, rules, etc.

The ’toon accurately shows how the CONTRACTORS who built the wall/fence so far view the project, and all that cash profit came from using Chinese steel and migrant/day job labor!!

The fence does block out wildlife, like jaguars and their prey, but does little to nothing regarding human traffic. Totally stupid and expensive investment in waste.

The best way to keep folks living south of the border, even if they do work here and pay taxes, is to improve their economies, and the safety of their "political " system, instead of our just interfering.

The flood of migrants from Africa to Europe, is proving much more deadly. The Mediterranean moat is proving as deadly as the desert here. Folks don’t seem to realize that in many areas, geography and climate are pretty good fences without our investments.
