So your advice to cops is – “forget the Taser, go for the gun”? Because if a guy is killed by a cop, no other questions be asked, other than the video becomes too uncomfortable to ignore? What’s it about the carte-blanche to cops about killing people who are ‘fighting’ them? If somebody goes nose-to-nose with me at my kid’s soccer game, I don’t get to kill him and go scot free. How does a cop?
I’m guessing more and more new hopefuls for cop jobs are going to be the ones with a blood lust. If they like to kill, nothing beats being a cop. Because everything could be a ‘struggle’, particularly if there’s no video. If there is a video, and the victim is a 12 year old, and the cop was trying out an old Rambo routine of shoot-before-the-other-guy-has-a-clue, he still goes free. So please stop with that pretentious concession that this particular cop was wrong, while giving a free pass to all others.

“Profiling” at every traffic stop or contact is actually what keeps police alert, and alive. If that profile is solely based on race, it’s wrong, but it’s also human nature, and crosses all lines, from all directions.
There is no defendng the cop in South Carolina, what about the football player just locked up?
The number or rounds btw the NRA assures “suspects” can carry, concealed, is why the police also go for larger capacity, and caution, and it adds actually to the aggression in behaviors.

prfesser: Police phased out the six-shooter. Their firearms now hold eight or ten shots and can be reloaded in less than a couple seconds.
