Hmmm. I thought Holly was going to call Phill. That would have been a quick way to hear he’s alright.

Everything that was so pressing a few minutes ago, doesn’t matter anymore.

Why not just call Phil?

Probably tried to call him but no answer.

All the perfectly reasonable ideas here would cut the story short. This has to last six days, remember; so Ms. Elliott will stretch it out as needed. There may be humour at the end, or a seriously long hug, but we will get there when the time is right, and it a moment before. And yes, I’m worried for Phil too!

Or, if he’s a typical municipal employee, he’s not allowed to have a personal cell phone on him while he’s on duty.

It may not be Phil that died, but this might cause Val to reconsider the marriage. She already lost one husband, is she ready to lose another?

Draw/write your comics how you fee fit, Jan. If people want something else, they can write their own. It’s your strip, do what you want.

It probably isn’t even Phil but another motorcycle cop. Phil isn’t the only motorcycle cop. But this will help propel Holly into actually marrying Phil, be his wife while he is still around, rather than simply cruising on an engagement, playing house with him. Turn them into a real couple with a family.

You all are a bunch of moron’s with nothing to do but live in a fantasy world of cartoon’s. And that is all that “stone soup” is, A CARTOON! What would you do if the cartoonist drew a large airplane crashing into the house while the whole Stone family was home and killed everybody? Jump off a cliff? So what if “Phil” got killed on his fictional motorcycle…WHO CARES!!!! It’s a cartoon….I read the cartoons in the paper since I was a kid just for laugh’s and always knew they were not real. Get a grip on reality!

How about Val going through a time warp and call Phil before he goes to work and tell him to call in sick. Geez !! Get a grip on reality. You moron’s are funnier than the cartoon.
