Ace, I plan to fill up often in Indiana. It has nothing to do with being anti-gay or not, it has to do with an individual business owner should have a right to sell to whomever they want, regardless of the reason. It’s not like the baker is the only baker in the area. Instead of whining and complaining, just take the business elsewhere like reasonable people do. Or possibly write a yelp review about it. Suing a private citizen because that citizen decides to carry on in a manner that they feel is consistent with their beliefs is wrong-minded and petty. Just like it’s my right to buy more gas, and buy cake from this lady because I like her decision, it’s her right to refuse service to anyone she wants.
Both sides of this argument have validity. This is where constitutional law sends conflicts to the courts, sometimes ending up before the Supreme Court. Meanwhile Indiana has become a laughingstock – or outrage – depending on one’s own views.
Is that a Muslim lady in the very back? The hypocrite brigade is really out in full force on this one. What you do in your house of worship is one thing, bringing that “faith” to the street is exactly what Jesus was talking about referencing those hypocrites.
