Love baseball – I can be working in the yard or shed with the game on the radio, and keep up perfectly. Not so much with other sports.

“This concludes the 2015 baseball season (says the tv announcer). After these brief commercial messages we will have opening day at the old ball park.” Taken from an old Tank McNamara comic strip….

I remember in the 6th grade, we listened to the whole World Series! We had a male teacher.

Walt Kelly once spoke of a friend who never watched TV in the winter; he figured all he’d see would be a baseball stadium with snow on the field. Of course that was long before the NFL Network.

What rules should baseball enact to make it more exciting?how about no pitcher changes in an inning.

Not any longer than basketball or hockey which run from Fall to Summer with the playoffs.

I think the length of the MLB season is just about the same amount of time as one NBA game.

Best part of the season is on opening day at Wrigley when the guys are holding up signs that read “JUST WAIT ’TIL NEXT YEAR!”

This sounds like our Grandson’s baseball season. Everlasting. It begins early Spring (freezing in the stands) and ends late Fall (freezing in the stands).

I remember baseball games taking 2 to 2 1/2 hours at most.

Greed has ruined the game of baseball on the part of BOTH players AND owners.

For some reason, Meatloaf was the first thing that crossed my mind with the baseball dialog.
