    Gotta love Gracie’s heart. Baldo would probably be “tracked” into a low performance program.

    Schools often make it harder for students to apply to college because they do not want a student to apply and be rejected — that would hurt the school’s stats. Colleges in their turn try to discourage those who they feel are marginal students from applying to professional or grad schools — again because a rejection would hurt the college’s stats. Rather than encourage a student to stretch beyond their current boundaries, institutions and programs encourage students to only attempt sure-things. It is sad.
