I blame the GOP; they drove Obama away with their constant nagging and whining.

Its a Ali Khamenei quote from a few days ago. That is current reality, not fiction and not a ancient quote.

Please stop making such lame generalizations. You just make every Rightie commentator here look bad.

Please read the average comment from such lumanaries as wmconnely and braindead. There are Lefties who dish just as well as denis. Please don’t misunderstand. I don’t agree with or defend his comment. But it’s hard to sympathize with you when the likes of them are running about spewing their venom.

Thank you. I don’t deny both seem to be intelligent people. But I think there’s a difference between being intelligent and being a zealot. wmconelly constantly tries to hijack threads and turn them into issues that the cartoons have nothing to do with. See Lisa Benson’s cartoon today for an example. Also, he offers sources that are fairly biased. Braindead used to do nothing but parrot ‘But it’s okay if a Republican does it’. I mean constantly. He has recently made an effort to actually provide commentary. So I probably should not have sniped at him. My apologies there. But back to the point, I’m sure that there are many suicide bombers who thought themselves rational, intelligent people who still walked into a school zone with a bomb tied around their midsection. I think we need intelligent discourse. But more so we need discussion to be less polarizing. We have plenty of polarization. We have less and less common ground.
