The clock is always fast when your head hits the pillow. It always ticks more slowly when you’re in detention… or you are ready to “punch out” for the day…
What is worse for me is that I will go to bed late and then I will wake up from my wife moving around and not be able to fall back asleep for an hour (usually falling asleep about an hour before the alarm).
I have had dreams where the alarm is going off. I have gotten up to shut it off. About five minutes before it goes off.Back when I worked the road our biggest fear was the phone ringing. Call out for a bad accident or something.The alarm clock went off, I answered the phone.That was after an all weekend duty day.
