This long country walk hasn't been so bad after all I fact it has been a bit of a breeze!
Fred tis nice to walk as a free dog with no leash! Now you may go where our nose takes you…..as long as you are in sight of the master……….

Interesting! I wonder why Fred needs a leash sometimes, and sometimes not?
If he was in a field with livestock he’d need to be ‘under close control’. If a dog worries livestock (a particular problem at lambing time) then a farmer is legally allowed to shoot it.
