I can remember seeing guys picking through the big metal types of ashtrays looking for long smokeable butts, years ago, when most people smoked and ashtrays were ubiquitous.Yeah, we even smoked in the checkout lines at grocery stores, which is where smoking was first banned (at least in California). Even my doctor smoked, and had ashtrays in the waiting room.
