I was a kid and didn’t get much of it, but enough to know that he would have been appalled to know that what he said about it happening again did not prove true. I asked him if it could ever happen again and he said, “Oh, no, never. They put laws in place to make sure it can’t.” That conversation took place late ’50s / early ’60s. Well, as criminals say about any place you can find to hide something a burglar can find to steal it, so any law you put in place to prevent disaster some crook will find a way around.
