    yeh, I guess on a teeter-totter, the very nature of the beast puts one in the position of having to trust and depend on another person. If that said other person is a short-attention-span adolescent , your chances for a ‘ground-breaking’ shot of play disruption are increased accordingly.this has been a notice from the Department of the Obviouswe thank you for your attention

    By the time I was growing up (at least 2 generations later), we learned to be ready in case the other did that, bracing the legs and so on, so fewer rude crashes on the behind.

    Now, you will be hard put to find a see-saw in any playground. The slides are all tube slides, and the swings all have sling or even safer seats. Children really have to work at getting hurt, but they still manage it.
