It depends on the KIND of change your mother dislikes, Hol.

Well, Holly Child. SOME change is good to know! You should be proud to share something like this! Stop thinking negatively!

My mom would have given me a stern lecture about how I could have been doing this all alone – and never a word of congratulations or praise.

@ IndyMan, LadyKat and Dani Rice. seems like a whole lot of us can relate to this one. My mother was just the same; never any praise for work well done, just a lecture about how I should always get straight As. Even when i was only 7 years’ old.

With my own children when they showed great grades I was happy. I was more happy to see homework at least from one getting done the other would not until ready for class.

Holly mom is going to expect great grades now, you shocked her.

So…what was with the dumbfounded expression and pleading the fifth when her mom asked about the midterms earlier? Something is not adding up.

I am sorry for those of you whose mother did not give the needed support to you. Please know that YOU are in charge of you now!
