    We almost always get an early Robin who then proceeds to stand in the snow – feathers puffed up and looking disgusted.

    I don’t know about robins, but the Canadian geese have definitely returned to Michigan; I heard them before I saw them. And they were flying north.

    In the UK we get robins in the winter. They came south to be here. Come the spring they’ve headed back to north Scandinavia. Tough little critters they are.
