Netanyahu wants a Jewish theocratic state, while he, and we, declare theocracies if Muslim, are automatically “evil”.
I don’t happen to want ANY theocracy, just as Article VI and the First Amendment to our Constitution mandate, we are a SECULAR government.
As to Judaism vs Islam, history has shown neither has ever been pacifist, but Netanyahu is just as nuts as any “mullah” we’re supposed to fear.
The real issue for Israeli-U.S. relations, as well as U.S. relations with Iran, or any country, shouldn’t be based on religion, rather whether that nation, and it’s people (not just it’s “leadership”) desires peace and cooperation. Which, almost universally, PEOPLE desire PEACE, and citing, or quoting “leaders” is not just a constant error, but the basis for our continuing tragedies of endless wars.
In this country, where we spend more than the 13 next largest miitary spenders in the world, combined, the propaganda edge lies not with the people, but with the leaders of the Military Industrial Complex, controlling the “leaders” in our Congress.
Allowing a FOREIGN radical to come before our Congress and start mandating what U.S. policy should be, is a tragic, and disgusting, capitulation. Whether Netanyahu, or well never happen, Kohmeni (sp) is allowed to use OUR Congress for a political ploy back home, is the ultimate con job, and those behind it in Congress should be removed.
I just hope Israelis will evade the con and vote Labor party, or any alternative that removes the radical element like Netanyahu, and places their future instead with those less willing for war, and instead willing to make peace, within their own nation and controlled territories, as well as with foreign states.
Here at home, we also need to weed out the radicalism of either right OR left, and elect RATIONAL leaders, not the ill-infromed, or just plain idiots, who bring nut-case ideologies, instead of viable solutions to the table, for the betterment of our nation, and PEOPLE. (The ones who breathe and have sex, not the “personhoods”, who only screw us.)
