    I know this is only the comics – but explain to me how when using a microscope and flaying a insect thin to see under the eyepiece is better than using a magnifying glass …

    They have ‘microscopes’ for kids that have a special container for live bugs. It only magnifies them a few times though.

    Also I get the sense that one of her previous ‘subjects’ might have gotten “Fried” by the hi-intensity light source.

    (Happened to me a couple of times, way back when.)
