See… I*think* I am calling it right in terms of what I said yesterday. I think JJ is not making this new neighbor out to be someone worrisome…. instead I think it is simply a bit of an awkward rush to get her introduced as a regular character so that she and Janis can be featured in a lot of girl-girl friendship panels. I think JJ is just pushing this new character’s development a bit fast to get where he wants the character to be, so it may feel (accidentally) a bit sinister, but it is not meant to feel this way.

What’s he complaining about. When she comes home with a bag of clothes, he gets to watch her try them all on. (That looks soft. Let me feel.)

Could be stuff she wants but wouldn’t buy for herself.

Why do some people feel that Robin is trouble? You say you’ve “been there”. Where was that? She seems harmless. And it’s good to have friends.

Well, I gotta say you have to watch out for people who get in your space too fast. I’ve been going to gym before lunch to dodge a woman from another country (not Latino) who is hard to understand and will talk to me and ask questions, which I can’t always understand – have to make up something noncommittal that will please her. She always has to hug and kiss me :-P if I’m not on a machine or something, and yesterday she came in before I could escape and I had to look at about 25 of her Vegas iPhone (or whatever it was) photos before I could leave. She had to ask if I was OK because I’d been out so long, how did I feel, etc., etc. I don’t want to hurt her feelings because she’s so needy, so am considering going even earlier.

Ok, I also read yesterday’s comments so I have insight I to what some people’s objections were. I don’t get the smother/clingy vibe from Robin, but I do understand the frustration from those situations. Janis seems totally receptive.
