Local police already use drones to track fugitives. It's only a matter of time before they arm them, and use them to kill suspects running from the police. (Man: Curfew is lifted the madman is dead.) (Woman: "drone" has 3/4 of the letters in "hero"!) The next logical step will be to use them to blow up people they suspect of plotting a terrorist attack. (Police Officer: Would've been too dangerous to risk cops' lives by trying to arrest him.) Then: "Signature" strikes against anyone who looks or actions fit the profile of a dangerous criminal. (Man: And it'll stop there. Right?) (Police Officer: I don't like the profile suggested by your thoughts.)

You know, this is one reason why public employee unions are a problem, as I have said in other posts. In this case the police unions will be there to protect the cops from their own militaristic impulses but nobody is there to protect the citizens from the cops.
