Far better focus than “shock and awe”, hundreds of thousands dead, and the CREATION of ISIL and other terrorist groups as well. And had GHW not screwed up, in 91 and told Saddam Kuwait was an “Arab on Arab thing”, or even if he’d supported the Shia back then instead of double crossing them by refusing the support he intially promised them, might still have been different. At least if the SHIA IRAQI citizens had overthrown Saddam, instead of us, it would have been THEIR fight, not OUR failure.
At least we wouldn’t have had Rumsfeld telling us there was only one stolen pot being driven by the cameras repeatedly, and looting wasn’t a problem, and he had everything under control.
