LOL,Jan! There are small, brown spiders in my yard that suck the life out of praying mantises. They end up looking like white ghosts of praying mantises.
I have a continuous family of PMs in my garden. Generation after generation show up every year to do their job, and what a job they do! I have very few bad bugs on my beans & tomatoes.

In third grade I brought in a praying mantis for our class terrarium. It ate all of the crickets and grasshoppers the others brought in.
