We are going to go to another war on foreign land because of one American’s tragic death IN THAT FOREIGN LAND? She chose to go there with all of the consequences.
And forget about them soldiers electrocuted while showering.
I mean, what difference does it make? Our patriotic multinational corporations are people who are too big to fail, too big to jail, and too big to tax.
Reading a theory on drones last night and it was an interesting point that when an insurgent force cannot harm our mlitary, due to remoteness of those “shooting” at them, or just the armor and equipment in the field, they don’t attack that army they can’t reach, they ATTACK the enemy’s CIVILIANS! ISIL recognizes this well, and has long acted on it.
The reaction to literally a single handful of “civilians” being killed has indeed proved that thousands of dead military mean little to the “public awareness”.
bin Laden, like those who ordered the obliteration of Dresden, HIroshima and Nagasaki, knew all too well that to get attention, you target those civilians, not military targets.
However, being the unseen bringer of terror and death, to those living in constant fear, doesn’t build friendships, it builds support for the likes of ISIL, who “get even” for them.
