Best weddings are at home. The bride knows what’s really important when she wants it there.

A nice summer wedding, not in June but maybe July 4th, that way every year they will get to celebrate with fireworks.

Never had mine in back yard too many stickers. I can see Val reason means wedding can be far off. Joan is really pushing for wedding day.For hubby and I photographer selected our day as we had not given much thought when to marry.

One of the side bennefits to having the wedding in the back yard is that as soon as they say “I do” and kiss, Alix can run in and change her clothes into something more comfortable.

I got married in Tahoe with a small group of close friends and family and had a reception two months later in a relative’s large backyard.

Actually, the drive-thru in Vegas is cool…don’t even have to get out of the car! Best man and Maid of Honor are in the back seat, and all is good. :-)

We had the wedding in the side yard so we could hang tarps from the trees…because it looked like rain…and it did, it just poured. So we simply moved the reception inside. Some good memories.

You go, Val! Keep it as simple as you like and Joan (and Mom) can soak their heads if they don’t like it. It’s not their wedding!
