I don’t like this. If the case does not progress fast enough the House can ask for an investigation - and since Republicans run the House Financial Committee this “investigation” will go no where.
There is a difference between making a living by adding value to your community, and making a living by conning, lying, cheating and stealing.
Few people object to the first. Most people object to the latter. A read of just about any of the exposes on Wall Street over the past twenty years, shows that the attitude and practice of cheating your clients is quite prevalent on Wall Street. The gamblers and cheaters appear to be very good at convincing people who are essentially clueless about their operations, that to rein them in in any way is a blow to the ‘free market’ and to good folks working hard to make themselves richer.
If I put lots of flammable trash under your house, and then quietly go (without your knowing it) and take out insurance on it, is that OK? Somehow, I don’t think so…
