Alabama was singled out in song by Tom Lehrer so many years ago:“We’ll try to stay serene and calm, when Alabama gets the bomb.”His words still fit their political landscape today.
Gresch is trying to act as though he’s not a bigot, but such arguments don’t end well. All you need to do is change “gay marriage” to “interracial marriage,” another past intransigence of Alabama’s, and his argument is made clear. And yes, there is a war on marriage in Alabama: Judge Roy Moore, with his spit-on-the-constitution directive, has now made it impossible for ANYONE to get married in many counties in the state. There. That’ll show ’em who stands for “marriage.”

The best thing out of Alabama, is being OUT of Alabama!

Leaving Alabama behind is beginning a realistic and happier life, I should think.
