I agree with N-G49 above. In this case the principal should be just a little more proactive, (he probably will be anyway), and have a chat with Randy when he returns. In this case, the principal can’t afford to wait for Nate to approach him.

That’s really what everyone should do. The problem is that they’re pressured by bullies into being wimpy if they do, causing them to try and do things by themselves. But that just makes the problem worse.
