Looks like it was tough to squeeze “to her ophthalmologist” into that last word balloon.

I was just guessing the other day when I said “eye trouble.” I didn’t remember from reading it, though I must have read it, in the books if not in the papers…

I remember when Linus had to get glasses (and had to look up “opthamologist” in the dictionary!), but not dear Miss Othmar.

I wonder if Schulz was inspired by the old joke about the cross-eyed teacher who couldn’t keep her pupils straight.

It’s all clear now … and happy ending for Linus

Late post, just found out Nancy and Sluggo were making their baseball bets on the Nancy comic strip. Nancy bet Sluggo that Peppermint Patty’s team would beat Charlie Brown’s team. I’d say thats a pretty safe bet!!
