I cannot imagine a more dangerous effort than Burl showing Ma how to install her window A/C unit. Besides, the whole idea is ridiculous since he couldn’t pour p*ss out of a boot with the directions written on the heel. And considering how he feels about her, he would either install it backwards or ask her to hold the wires while he tests them.As to him “helping” Joy through a revolving door, let’s be honest here, he makes he stumble on purpose so he can appear to be solicitous, but only in public. In private, too bad.And just how do you “make” Krispy Kremes for a bake sale? Like she “makes” her famous Stouffer’s lasagna? Does she have to buy twice as much to cover the shrinkage caused by her and Burl?

This is the sorriest so-called comic in here!

It didn’t say he was going to install the AC. Most likely he will stand there and read the instructions while Ma does the work.

I didn’t know they even know what a revolving door is. Do they have them in Crustwood?I think she has to buy 3 x more Krispy Creams They’ll eat over 1/2 on the way to the sale.

For once Crab, Paco, Shirl and Dani are on the same page. Something to remember is that not all cartoons are meant to be funny. I still have a book of cartoons by Bill Mauldin, “Up Front,” that was both funny and poignant about the GIs in WWII. Thomas Nast made a career of biting political cartoons in the late 1800’s. I don’t think Julie is trying for that milieu but she is shining a bright and unforgiving light on the foibles and failures of humankind. Let’s face it, if someone like the Pennys actually existed we would get a prize for offing them. They’re down there with Superfund sites. We all have friends and relatives who have some of these traits and—Gasp!—have some of them ourselves.
