Of course he is. Even though this is a free concert, Burl doesn’t want them to “short” him on anything. He is a Past President of the “Fullest Glass Society.”

The people behind them are looking at each other and thinking nobody that old could be that stupid.

Marlene is due for a haircolor… all her grey is showing. But maybe she has trouble finding a stylist, cos they’re all afraid she’ll bring Joy with her next time.

I can see where it says “Find-It” …. but I see neither an actual Find-It under the label, nor object wandering around loose in the strip, as though it were meant to be one.

And yeah, I was thinking Burl is torn between making sure every song gets played, and figuring out how much remains to endure.

I dunno whether they’d go just to support Marlene…. but the home-made goodies the band supporters sell at the refreshment table added to the draw…

especially when Marlene asked whether on the drive, they’d mind holding the plate of brownies she’d made… or… er… unwrapped … for the sale.

Mind? Of course not.Yeah, Marlene…. I thought you’d made more brownies than that too.Maybe they lost some air on the way, and shrunk.

Now don’t try to tell me you don’t do that, too, at school concerts, piano recitals, funerals and Baptist services.

He was like this at that Crustwood Volunteers free concert last week…….completely insufferable!! He always finds a way….OR looks in a little guidebook he carries around: “The Idiot’s Guide To Being An Idiot”.
