As opposed to watching MSNBC, CNN, HLN, NBC. CBS. ABC, etc. and doing the same…

I agree stuperfan. Amazing how the liberals keep railing against Fox News since they themselves have so many news outlets. In fact if I could just find a news source that didn’t try to “spin” the facts to suit their own opinions that would be refreshing.

What’s wrong with two points of view? NYC has the TIMES and the POST. Love reading them side by side.

Politics have become driven by anger and fear. That’s not what the comics are supposed to be about.

Another comic to cross off my list, too bad. It had potential.

the only time to read the NY Post is when you pick it up for free on the LIRR or Subway.

Neo if you want news with a different spin check out Mosiac on LinkTV , it’s news from the middle east with no spin (just a lot of anti-Americanism)

I have to agree with CHN.

Nathan let us know if you are turning “Sticks” into an editorial cartoon or if this is just part of character development. I hope that you don’t get too political. Poking fun at both sides would be realistic.

Of course, Doonesbury has done well dabbling in political segments for years.

ssejhill - it’s not a one-off. He did an interview about it. The strip will start to have a conservative bent - Cosmo will be ‘token’ liberal.

Who stopped railing against Fixed News? If you watched anything else, you’d know better. But then, if you watched anything else, you’d know better than to watch Fixed, as well, neo.

Thanks for the link, opa6x57. Now I won’t keep reading this one hoping it goes back to being funny.

The actual news portions of Fox are pretty well centered. It’s just the pundits like Beck and Hannity who skew it to the right. It also appears CNN is trying to be balanced again. We’ll see how long that lasts. MSNBC just has no hope of being anything other than left wing radicals.

I miss the fair and balanced tagline… Fox News was always as fair and balanced as a one-legged carnie.

opa6x57 … thanks for the note. I completely missed that notice on the right part of the screen. I’m hopeful that Nathan brings a good natured ribbing to the whole political process and doesn’t just toe the Tea Party/Palin/Rush/Cheney obstructionist line.

It’s my opinion - and JUST my opinion - that comic strips are supposed to be funny - not political.

If/when I want political comedy, I know where to go to look for it - I shouldn’t have to duck-n-weave to avoid it in my daily comic strip.

I consider myself an informed voter - and I like political commentary and comedy as much as any American - but not hammered into me with my daily comic strips.

At the rate Nathan is going - he’ll lose me as a reader.

I feel betrayed by the change.
