And here in KZN in sunny South Africa we are almost expiring from the heat and humidity. Temp today is about 31 and feels like 34 and that is one of the better days. :( We are having a very, very hot summer and rainfall is not looking very good either. Dam levels are not looking healthy and we are just hoping that we don’t have water restrictions through through the winter.
You learn something new every day. I learned that Aunty is from merry old England.Where I am, in New England, it has warmed up to the 20’s F the past couple of days, but we are soon to return to the deep freeze of sub-zero F temps at night, teens during the day, and another blizzard coming this weekend. I have lived here 35 years & don’t remember a winter with as much snow as this one. It is awesome. The skiing is terrific, and when it melts in the Spring all the lakes and reservoirs should be full.

Now THAT’S cold!!! We are in the deep, deep, deep freeze here until next week, and then the temperatures start climbing gradually.

One of my friends, who worked on the Alaska pipeline, told me it got so cold there that you need a chainsaw to cut a fart.

I don’t know where Aunty lives in the UK but it’s rather pleasant here in the south west.
