Sure seems like more than a “few radicals” as Barry likes to tell us again and again. It’s pretty clear that a significant portion of the Muslim world is at war against the civilized world.Maybe Barry and Europe will finally wake up.
Defining over a billion Muslims by the actions of three or even 30,000 indicates that you are as close-minded as those radically crazies are. You might want to look up the dictionary definition of ‘significant’ as well as your own definition of ‘civilized world’.
Wow, this escalated quickly. While I do not believe the Muslim faith is truly a religion of peace, as they would have us believe, I also recognize that neither is Christianity (The Crusades weren’t just an all-night kegger). There are good people, and bad people. The problem is when you see, in current society, large swaths of people proclaiming their actions are in the name of a religion, they are a few centuries behind the times. It also gives the rest of those believers a bad name. When was the last time five thousand Christians came out and started murdering people en masse and said it was in Christ’s name? What about Buddhists? Shaolins? Mormons? Anyone other than Muslims? That’s what I’m getting at.Yes, there are billions of Muslim practitioners. But that is the only religion that I can see anywhere where they believe rape, beheading, and waging a religious war is justified by more than a few outliers. If it was a few radicals (and by a few, I mean literally 10-15), I could dismiss it as the lunatic fringe. But we’re talking about enough for an entire army. And their methods are cowardly and indiscriminate. So while I know most people who are of the Muslim faith are peaceful people, there are too many Muslims who believe in waging Jihad against the western world for me to give the religion a pass. After all, if the rest of the Muslim world were against the actions of their extremists, why aren’t they openly and actively condemning their actions. Unless, of course, they quietly agree with them.
It is interesting to note most of the comments incite violence against someone. It is no wonder we keep killing each other, apparently it is all the human race is capable of.
I’m simply saying that there were some pretty horrific things done during the Crusades done in the name of God, things that are no less abominable than are being done today. Religion can be used to brainwash people, and that’s kind of what I was getting at. The cause is less relevant than the actions of the devout in the name of their god. That’s my point.
The West is currently bombing and hopefully killing Islamist terrorists, because they committed terrorist attacks against Western countries. They strapped bombs to themselves and to women and murdered innocent men, women and children. They butchered hundreds of innocent school children in Pakistan. They flew planes into buildings and killed innocent men, women and children. Most recently they butchered twelve people who had the temerity to mock their ludicrous extremist religious beliefs. So sorry it distresses you, but in fact Islamist terrorists are in fact evil and cowardly. What’s really revolting is people who make excuses for evil.
Bruce missed the point that Obama is NOT a Muslim, and at the U.N., he was speaking of those WITHIN Islam, that slander the profit by doing things he forbade!!
The constant falsehood claiming that Obama is Muslim, and ignoring that he IS indeed waging war against terrorists (with greater success than Bush ever had), in a war we shouldn’t even be having, which is do to many of our own errors and oppressions.
Pretty sure Lester isn’t aware of the actual intent of the phrase, but any hateful statement to inflame the idiots of his mob, will suffice on “the right”. (as in that “right” that figures killing anyone they disagree with is “right” as long as “God” is on their side- hmm, and that’s Jews, Christians, AND Muslims!!)
Mike Lester: to start with, Stevens died of smoke inhalation from the fire. The two mercs killed on the roof of the CIA outpost were sent over fromTripoli, because there were demonstrations outside the actual embassy there, because of the video, one of several reasons Marines couldn’t be sent, and they died succeeding in their mission to rescue ALL of the employees inside that CIA outpost.
There actually is an hour by hour breakdown of what happened at Benghazi ’Under Fire; The Untold Story of the Attack in Benghazi." Folks should read it if curious about facts rather than myths from Limbaugh, Hannity, et al, and there are WAY too many fraudulent, et als.
My son was living in Penn Valley, and Stevens’ parents made it immensely clear, that’s where Stevens was from, that they didn’t blame anyone at state for what happened to their son.
Also, many Muslims, clerics and adherants, have declared that those committing heinous acts DO slander the prophet when they harm the innocent, which is specifically prohibited, several times, in the Quran, thus Obama’s citation.
Wow…some lefties here seem as “sensitive” about Mr Lester’s opinion as the Muslim savages who murdered the staff at Charlie Hebdo.
All that he’s saying here is that the Muslim savages who murdered the staff at Charlie Hebdo AGREE with Obama’s statement that: “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.” Hence, those who “slandered” the prophet of Islam at Charlie Hebdo NOW “have no future.” In his heart, Obama is celebrating.

Once again, hatred of Obama is the so-called “conservatives” only issue.

Weak and pathetic attack after a serious attack. But what is to be expected of that side.
