Ted Rall for January 02, 2015
Transcript:
For six years, the economy has been crap, millions of lost jobs, no raises, no hiring. (Man: After the layoff, I burned through my savings and lost my house.) For the last two months, growth has been excellent. They've declared recovery but we're not feeling it. (Barack Obama: Why are y'all still whining?) (Woman: What would it take for them to cheer up?!) In two months? This: (Man: My old job back. My house. A check for 6 years of lost wages plus interest. But I'd settle for 100 bankers hanging from lampposts.)

Hey Ted, tell us again how awful Rethuglicans are for using violent political rhetoric. But it’s OK when you do it, right?

I really would have liked the bankers, loan managers and Wall Street money men to spend some time in prison. Unfortunately much of what they did was legal but horribly greedy and self serving. They screwed a lot of innocent people so they could join the one percent. Those Christian conservatives in Congress must have liked it though because they just watered down the laws that were passed to prevent it from happening again.

We had mediocre presidents for most of the last 60 years. We have now had 14 straight years of simply awful presidents. The last two even made Clinton look good..
And even worse, they rule like kings. Nothing like the founders intended. It’s totally out of control.
It’s way past the time for the pitchforks and torches…

Vigilantism, gotta love mob rule. Why not just indiscriminately kill anyone who is richer than you. We can start in Beverly Hills and Hollywood for conservatives and Wall St for liberals let them meet at buffets house.

Then elect a president who is on the side of the middle class and elect a congress that will be on her side. Elizabeth Warren

Yesteryear’s solutions do not always work for today’s problems. Political parties and unions haven’t solved any real problems in quite some time, but would make for good entertainment, if they didn’t actually affect us.

The people to blame are the politicians and the Federal bureaucrats. The made the banks give loans to people who could not pay the loans off.

“Warren isn’t running.”Which is a shame. She’s one of the very few Democrats I’d actually vote for. Then again, I don’t see the Democrats actually nominating someone with some semblance of liberal values… or a spine.

In addition to seeing some bankers and unscrupulous investors at the end of a rope, I’ll settle for the next president to throw the Goldman Sachs chair out of the Oval Office, where it has sat since 1981.(However, Jeb would never do it!)

My whole problem with this strip is that it HASN’T taken place in two months, but over the 6 YEARS of the Obama presidency, acting against the (DOCUMENTED!) obstructionists of the Godawful-obstructionist Party!
