But it wasn’t politics when the Pope was conservative/reactionary because Ramirez agreed with those Popes. I do enjoy how angry the right is getting about this Pope.

The Ironic thing about the toon is that this new pope has never been seen in the Papal finery others have worn. He prefers to dress like a Pauper.

There’s a new Pope in town and things are going to change.

I really like the new Pope. He actually wants to practice the word of God and try to serve his flock. The church is badly in need of reformation.

Pope Francis has been focusing his efforts on the poor, just like Jesus said to do.-Seems that this is what all of the conservatives are mad about. Maybe they are reminded of the rich man and the camel through the eye of the needle, or Jesus telling the rich man to sell all his possessions, etc.

Y’know, Pea, I find it amusing that someone who complains about how the conservatives look down on someone because they don’t fit their ideal mold is complaining about conservatives who don’t fit your mold. Your post reeks of hypocrisy.

@CrosspatchWhere did you get that God gave us all these religions? Is it in the bible somewhere, because I missed it. He wants us to follow the one and true religion, however, you have to go and find it and it will depend on your “honest” efforts if you succeed or not.

@OldCoalYou are using the old and tired Soviet era propaganda, which says that Jesus was the first communist. If God gave us free agency what would He want to do with communism? (and socialism is nothing more than the little brother of communism) What good it will do to Him to oppress us? You people need to read more.

“It’s not about conservative vs. liberal. It’s about the Word of God vs. one man’s opinion, which clearly doesn’t square with either the Word of God or Catholic teaching and tradition.”I think it’s more the Old Testament vs the New Testament. The new Pope is clearly focusing on the teachings of Christ rather than hellfire, damnation, and condemnation that others prefer to focus on.

Francis proclaims that humanity, including th POPE is fallible, and that frosts “conservative” Catholics, especially the church heirarchy.

Francis is the coolest Pope ever, and conservatives, religious and political, want Torquemada back instead.

Piling on for Pope Francis and the teachings of Jesus Christ: I pray for this man’s wellness and ministry every day. He preaches/teaches as did Jesus Christ. It’s not politics, it’s the word of the Lord.
