Baldo: I was totally embarrassed at school today! Baldo: Miss Lopez yelled at me in math class. Dad: Did you deserve it? Baldo: Well... maybe. Baldo: I just wish she'd kept her voice down when she did it.
I bet Miss Lopez had a talking-to with the principal about her yelling (hopefully the principal didn’t get a talking-to with the superintendent about HIS yelling at Miss Lopez).
Yelling comes in scale. There’s the ’You can do better" all the way down to disparaging insults. Sometimes, a kid needs a jolt to nudge (not beat) them into paying attention.
