I love it, all of a sudden it is the President’s fault that George created a situation where we incarcerated people that we can’t even give away now because no country will take them and they don’t have any legal rights or standing so you can’t charge them with a crime. I guess that is the conservative MO, declare “Mission Accomplished” and blame all the failures on someone else.

So, Muslim Terrorists are the same a Cuban Dissenters? I guess that makes perfect sense to the liberal mind. If you really believe that then you should have no problem with Cuba imprisoning dangerous people.

They sure don’t make conservatives like they used to. I remember when the government having the power to detain people without trial and brutalize them without consequence would have been considered a bad thing. Nowadays, you guys can’t seem to give the “dictator” enough police state powers. For myself, I don’t trust Obama with those powers any more than I trusted Bush. No American president should have that kind of power.

They’re supposed to be releasing 35 more shortly to other countries. We created at Abu Ghraib and elsewhere overseas as well ast at Gitmo the psychological training ground for converting goat-herders into suicide bombers, that’s what torture actually “buys” you…

btw: the “tiger cages” in Viet Nam accomplished the same with peasant rice farmers falsely accused of being VC.
