ON WiSCONSIN! Now we have a shooting of a guy who was thumping an officer with the officer’s baton, after “less than lethal force” didn’t work, and the tables reportedly turned on the cop. Just a note, a police baton CAN well inflict lethal injuries.
There ARE good cops, and a minority of bad cops, but basically their personalities ARE “authoritarian”, which doesn’t mean brutal or abusive, but does reflect a “my way or the highway” base personality. Which is what they need at times to stay alive when confronted with their opposite number who say “What’s mine is mine, what’s yours is mine too.” And THAT includes the “conservative” supporters of the police, who support them, until THEY get a ticket, or arrested for criminal activity, then listen to them scream how the “government” is taking away their rights to do as they please. (Plenty of personal experience with them.
That all said, Sharpton is a jerk who inflames his audiences quite on purpose, just like Limbaugh as his political opposite.
