Repay no evil for evil. . .Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of capitalism on his head."

Why make fun of Fidel Castro in his old age? And at this time? When I was in Cuba a few years ago, a Canadian engineer working there patiently explained to me that the rest of the world outside the USA considers Mr. Castro to be a hero. Ask Nobel Prize winner Mandela.

I’m glad stuff like that never happens in Saudi Arabia, ruled by the close personal friends and business partners of the Bushes.

What industrialized country has the highest rate of incarceration in the world? Go ahead, poke fun at Mr. Castro, but do not be so sanctimonious about it. Your country is not perfect either.

How I would like to reply to your post would take up too much space. My opinion, briefly, is that Marxism was doomed from the start, because it didn’t take into account human emotion and psychology properly. Karl, Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Fidel, Mao & Pol Pot all thought that they could remold humans into happy workers/owners into a socialist paradise. To achieve this, they sought to eradicate basic human motivation and replace it with Communist in-step equality. Doesn’t work like that.Capitalism, WHEN PROPERLY REGULATED, offers better chances for material success, as it appeals to human desires, curiosity and individuality.. I think it worth noting that since the implosion of the communist systems in Russia and eastern Europe, and communism was not longer seen as a viable threat, the capitalist system has taken off the gloves and is baring its teeth. Left unchecked, it is quickly becoming a get-it-while-its-good and every-man-for-himself contest. The cleverest ones win! .I’m not positive, but I think it was George Bernard Shaw, who once opined “Admittedly, under Capitalism, there is an uneven distribution of the wealth. But under Communism, there is an even share of miseries for all!”
